However, I would like to express my thoughts to you peeps, and hopefully give motivation =)
To me, SYF is not the issue to worry about.
To me, getting a Gold with Honors is not what I hope the ensemble is able to produce.
To me, impressing the judges is not a major issue.
Rather, what I aim to achieve for the ensemble is that we, as an ENSEMBLE, will be able to play music that we are satisfied with, and working hard for that result we deserve.
IF it means that we're silver standard and we worked hard for it, then I'll be proud as the TPGE Vice-Pres because I've been in an ensemble that deserves what they worked for.
Since the Guitar Competition, we know that we're approximately 0.1 percent (i think?) short of a Gold standard. If so, i think it isn't an impossible dream to aim for Gold with Honors! And unless we start practicing like mad, we will not be able to unleash the potential we have to our maximum. So, the bottom line is that we should really start practicing our SYF pieces !
Lets work together to produce a cadence, a passion for the music we play, and ultimately 1 sound as proud individuals of TPGE =)
