Here's the TPJC GE House Rules for the Year 2010. We will strictly follow according to this with effect from 1st January 2010, and that includes the incoming J1s too. Just 5 simple 'be' attitude rules to remember.
The 5 'Be's Attitude
- Be Present.
Your membership in the ensemble will be reviewed (to issue you a warning or to dismiss you) by the teachers-in-charge, instructor and the Exco if you're absent for 2 or more per school term without a valid reason. NB: Tuition, piano classes etc. are not valid reasons. Please inform your SLs, secretary or president if you're unable to come for practice. If you have a MC to account for your absence, please submit the photocopied MC copy to the secretary on the very next practice.
If you have a briefing or other school event to attend that clashes with practice timing, you have to report for CCA once the event ends.
2. Be Ready.
Everyone is expected to be done with the tuning of their guitars and be ready to play by the stated starting time. For example, if the Exco announces that the next practice would begin at 230pm, everyone should be seated with their tuned guitars at 230pm, and we can start our rehearsals at 230pm sharp. You do not stroll in only at 230pm. If you're not ready with your tuned guitars by the starting time, you are considered LATE. For every 10 minutes late, you will be fined $2, 20 mins late=$4.
For Excos and SLs, you will be fined $4 for every 10 minutes late, 20 mins late=$8.
If you are late for 2 times or more in a MONTH without a valid reason, your membership will be reviewed by the teachers-in-charge, instructor and the Exco.
3. Be Equipped.
If you are not assigned a school guitar, please bring your own. If not, you’ll have to rent the school guitar for $2 per practice. If you do not own a personal guitar due to financial difficulties, please approach the QMs.
4. Be Punctual.
Please conform to the break time limit issued by section leaders. If you come back late from the break, you will have to stay back after practice to arrange the chairs.
5. Be Organised.
Everyone should own and bring a BLACK file every practice to organise their scores. There will be file checks every end of the term.
Regards,
ANGELYN.
